... README.1ST ...
Thank you for taking a look at THE INTERSTATE TRAVELER. I hope you
will find it useful and want to add it to your software library.
The program requires an IBM or IBM compatible PC, 640K of RAM, 16
color VGA color graphics display, DOS 3.3+, a hard drive, and a Micro-
soft compatible mouse. An Epson/IBM compatible dot matrix printer is
required for printing the maps displayed on the screen.
If installing from a CD-ROM, copy the un-archived files to a direc-
tory (IST30, for example) on your hard disk. The program will not run
directly from the CD-ROM.
To run the program after installation, make the directory containing
the program files the default directory (CD\IST30, for example),
key-in IST, and press ENTER.
To get into the program quickly and see what it can do, print the
SAMPLE.RUN file. Use the printout as a script for running the
program. It will guide you, step by step, through the trip planning
process.
Please remember that this is a user-supported product and requires
the payment of a registration fee should you wish to continue using
it after a reasonable trial period.
